Imesia holds a Bachelors Degree from the University of Windsor in Dramatic Arts and Psychology. She combined that with a post graduate certification in Human Resources Management from Humber Institute of Technology. Imesia has spent that last 13 years working in human resources and training, most recently managing human resources for one of the oldest hotels in Toronto. In 2012 she attended her Level 1 Yoga training in Montreal through Moksha Yoga and recently traveled to Los Angeles to complete the Moksha Flow certification. She has trained, studied and applied co-active coaching in her work and personal life since her training in 2010.
My life balances between 2 worlds of felt experience and logic. Sometimes referring to myself as the corporate gypsy, creating a progressive and respected career in human resources and training as well being a certified yoga instructor, life coach and student of spiritual wellness. I am a healer, facilitator and lifelong student of self care.
Over the past 10 years my work has taken me around my wonderful country of Canada, and into the US, UK and Caribbean. Having worked in a variety of industries from engineering to non profit, I’ve had the opportunity to support and counsel people of various backgrounds, economic levels and abilities. Within this diversity I have always found movement and body awareness as an effective method of connecting with people, and having individuals connect with themselves to tune into their creativity — which we ALL need connection to (MORE) than once in awhile. I use playful and fun methods that work in professional office environments as well as more casual workplaces or spaces.
My belief in the creativity of the human spirit makes me a calm and supportive guide who assists others in listening to their bodies, discovering needs underlying life problems, and finding pathways to resolution and transformation.
My work promotes wellness at work through the whole body. We are not the sum of our parts. We are a whole being. Bring more FUN and FREEDOM into your (work)life through movement, dance, yoga and improvisation.
Let’s get FREED up!
